On Thursday, 16 October, over 250 people gathered under the stars at the Tom Price Drive-In for the powerful cinema release of Yurlu | Country.

The screening marked the start of the film’s national release and carried deep significance for the Tom Price community, who live near Wittenoom and continue to feel its devastating impact. More than just a film event, it was an opportunity for the community to come together in reflection and send a clear message: Wittenoom must be cleaned up.

Now Screening Across Australia

With the film now showing in selected cinemas around Australia, it is our hope Yurlu | Country will help educate a new generation about the cultural and emotional impacts of the Wittenoom disaster — and build support for the cleanup of Wittenoom.
