Behind the Case.

This initiative is lead by Banjima Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (BNTAC), Gordon Legal, and Illuminate Films.

BanjimaNativeTitle

Banjima Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (BNTAC)

BNTAC is the registered native title body corporate for the Banjima People, the Traditional Owners of the Country that includes Ngambigunha (Wittenoom). BNTAC exists to protect Banjima Country, culture, and community. There is not a Banjima family that hasn’t been impacted by Wittenoom. BNTAC  is leading this campaign to achieve long-overdue remediation, ensure native title rights are upheld and that the devestating health impacts of Wittenoom don't continue to harm the next generation.

Gordon-Legal

Gordon Legal

Founded by Peter Gordon, a pioneer in asbestos-related compensation cases, the Gordon Legal has a long and successful history of holding corporations and governments to account for causing health and financial damage to everyday people.

Gordon Legal will use its unique expertise in running large scale litigation to compel remediation of the Wittenoom site and achieve compensation for those affected.
